Nibsy's (Reading)

Nibsys_coffee_shop_Reading
Exclusively gluten-free coffee shop in the heart of Reading

Since cutting gluten out of our diet (please note some of my posts still have gluten in them simply because the dish was made before this decision) dining out reduced to zero here in Reading. It wasn't a major setback as I wasn't happy with the quality anyway.

Most recently we have discovered a little coffee shop called Nibsy's that is exclusively gluten-free. I was tempted with the vegan Victoria Sponge Cake. Unfortunately it was made with margarine and soya and my desire to try it has died out instantly. There was this gluten- and dairy-free Orange and Almond Cake. Great taste of orange and moist almond in one slice but I think I've got sugar shock afterwards. It certainly could have been eased back on sugar.

If you do not mind the sugar overload or margarine give this coffee shop a try, they have dairy-free coffee options (roasted in Winchester), sandwiches, quiches, soups, made fresh on site. Whole cakes are available to order and there is complimentary free wifi as well.
