Oven-roasted well buttered cauliflower
Cauliflower and butter are just made for each other, nicely complementing each other, strengthening the other's goodness.
You will need (feeds 2 to 3):
1 large cauliflower head
100 g butter
a good pinch of coarse Himalayan rock salt
a wee pinch of ground cinnamon and turmeric
1. Break the cauliflower into small florets. Quarter the bigger ones.
2. Steam the cauliflower florets for about 6 to 8 mins, until the fork goes through easily but the florets are still firm and hold their shape well.
3. Put the hot cauliflower into a mixing bowl. Add chunks of butter, and let it melt over the hot cauli florets. Season. Shake the mixing bowl so the butter and the seasoning distribute evenly.
4. Arrange the buttered cauliflower on a baking tray, and put the tray in a preheated oven, and bake at 180 C for about 20 to 25 mins. Enjoy!
