Fish gently cooked in broth with savoy cabbage
You will need (for 2 to 3 people):
1 salmon fillet
1 haddock fillet
1 mackerel fillet
2 carrots
1/2 of a medium savoury cabbage, chopped
1 cm fresh ginger, thinly sliced
1/2 cm fresh turmeric, thinly sliced
a good pinch of Himalayan rock salt (optional)
freshly ground black pepper, to taste (omit for AIP)
1.5 l home-made bone broth or fish stock
1. Bring the bone broth or fish stock to gentle boil. Add the chopped savoury cabbage, loosely cover with a lid and cook on low heat for 8 to 10 mins.
2. Add the thinly sliced carrots, cook for further 5 mins.
3. Rinse and cut the fish fillets into chunks. Add them to the soup. Cook for 5 to 7 mins. After 3 mins add the thinly sliced ginger and turmeric too.
4. Season with salt and black pepper (not for AIP). Serve hot. Enjoy!
